Bacana, Brazilian slang for "cool," is Sabai's laid-back seating collection, inspired by wide-plank Brazilian mid-century furniture and the exposed hardware of Afra and Tobia Scarpa's Monk chair. The Armchair sets generous cushions in an open wood frame with wide arms.
Upcycled Poly is made in the USA from post-industrial olefin waste. It's GreenGuard Gold certified, free of PFAS and BPA, and built for everyday wear; covers are hand wash only.
The exposed frame is FSC-certified solid maple in a warm Nutmeg stain, with natural latex foam cushions that tie to the frame. Sabai keeps frame building, finishing and upholstery within a 10-mile radius in High Point, North Carolina. It's made without PFAS or flame retardants, ships flat-packed, and assembles at home.
