A single loop of solid brass rod, bent by hand into a low rectangular frame that holds a stack of paper napkins, cocktail napkins or pour-over filters upright on the table or counter. Nothing to it, which is why it works with everything. Fog Linen Work calls it a paper stand; on a dining table it's a napkin holder.
Unlacquered brass that patinas with use; wipe clean. Handmade in India, so each one varies slightly.
