Golden Light is the first monograph from Nickey Kehoe, the Los Angeles studio of Todd Nickey and Amy Kehoe, whose rooms manage to feel collected over decades and finished yesterday. Their interiors draw on traditional forms — Shaker, English country, early American — and loosen them with California light, hand-made objects and a restrained palette.
The book moves through a dozen residential projects, photographed to show how each space is lived in rather than staged, with the designers' own notes on sourcing, scale and the small decisions that make a room feel inevitable. A quietly beautiful 9 × 12 inch hardcover.
